Isn’t it scary.
They simply sawed off limbs. The idea of removing a lump from a breast under those conditions gives me the horrors.

The old operating room is fascinating but it sure wouldn’t have been very nice back in the good old days. Shudder!
Even all the old instruments are scary because most of their operations consisted of – chop it off!

Good grief! That picture of ‘The Good Old Days in Theatre’ could give you the cobby-wobbles. And there’s something really weird about that hand holding the knife.
I can see why people avoided an operation.
